Recently i've been exploring the world of pick-up.
I've gotten the opportunity to play company softball, and have ventured out to play some goaltimate.
More often than not it's the bike ride that has been the major physical endeavor, but the games do provide a good place for some running around and the added enjoyment of playing with a team.
These games have also given me the chance to diversify my workouts, and keep me moving.
In the summer there's bound to be something going on every evening, you've just gotta look for it!

Injuries:
With all that activity it is almost a miracle I have not suffered more injuries. But, as it is, here's my list:
Pre-Patellar Bursitis (April 2008) - still not sure what this is exactly. An impact injury during a layout (or two) at the Davis Invite. There was massive swelling, though it didn't prevent me from playing the rest of the tournament. I have not played for about 1 mo., but hope to be back on the field this weekend!
IT Band (Fall/Winter 2007, ongoing) - This occurred during/after running the marathon in September. I blame a lack of training prior to the race, and not allowing for proper recovery time after. I took about 1 month off, though I was still biking. Remedies included; ice, stretching, massage therapy/Styrofoam roller
Shoulder Pain (ongoing)
Concussion (Regionals/Nationals 2006)
Ankle Problems (ongoing)
